An unlikely and girlie rink rat who came to love spit, sweat and shivering

She started as a hockey mom and ended as a hockey mom with a blog. Originally writing content for a local hockey newsletter, Astek worked with the "Hockey Mom" to take the concepts from her newsletter and place them online. Working with Vin Design, Astek Consulting launched HockeyMom.net using a Wordpress platform featuring search engine optimization, social sharing functionality, an RSS platform, and email newsletters.
