PROCESS
The web world changes daily–even hourly–these days. We’re on top of it, which means we’re ahead of most companies out there. But not every new concept, tool, or technique is worth putting money and energy into. We don’t get carried away with “new” unless new is right for you and your business goals.
Interactive web design should build from a foundation of strategic contemplation, audience identification, strong branding, and functional recommendations to deliver integrated aesthetics, an efficient user experience, hand-crafted content, and seamless implementation with social and search engine optimization. Your new web site’s sophisticated technical underpinnings will ensure your audience can see and use it well into the future.
We make sure you understand your options by evaluating industry standards, studying your marketing position, and identifying opportunities. We’ll work closely with you to deliver the appropriate solutions to enable your marketing potential—whether it’s creating a managed ongoing email campaign or a podcast of your organization’s latest event to share with the world. We put the right tools in your hand to help you express yourself to your customers.

HISTORY
Astek’s history is so rich and long, we haven’t had time to write it all yet!
GIVING BACK
In 2006 we decided it was time to pass on some of the success our clients have shared with us to the local and global communities, which are fast becoming one. Each year Astek chooses an especially worthwhile or malnourished not-for-profit company or artistic effort to which we donate a full-scale web site design, implementation, and hosting.
2008 Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP)
CHRP is an example of an organization that had focused to much on doing what it does well that it had built a successful series of tap and other body rhythm dance performances that had no brand to tie them together and inform people what organization was responsible for these performances. Astek worked closely with Vin Reed to create a new brand statement, logo, color scheme, and web site. To save ongoing maintenance costs, CHRP uses Webany, Astek’s content management system, to manage all web site content as needed. Read a full case study on this project.
2007 Sand and Sorrow
For our inaugural effort, Astek created the pro bono web site, SandAndSorrow.org, for the documentary of the same name from Peabody-winning director Paul Freedman about the crisis in Darfur, which was narrated by George Clooney. The site met with much success and provided the level of artistry and professional demeanor needed for this extraordinary effort in globally relevant filmmaking. HBO is now distributing the film.
Astek is also a 4-year Platinum Sponsor of CoreNet Global Chicago Chapter.
